Overview of Denton Cove Community
Denton Cove will consist of 52 apartment homes in 5 residential buildings and a separate clubhouse featuring a gathering area with fireplace, internet café with computers and printer, community kitchen, covered lanai, fitness room, and tot lot. On-site maintenance and management as well as after school programs for children and a literacy training and employment assistance program will be offered.
Each of the one, two or three bedroom apartment homes will be built to Florida Green Building Coalition standards and will include a fully equipped kitchen with energy star appliances, a full size washer and dryer, plank vinyl and carpet flooring, large kitchen islands with seating, ceiling fans, upgraded cabinetry with D-pull levers, low flow water fixtures, double pane low E windows and 2” blinds on all windows. At the request of and at no charge to the resident household, Denton Cove will purchase and install grab bars around the tub/shower.

What is affordable housing?
Affordable housing communities are simply apartment communities built utilizing tax credits which are then sold to large financial institutions for low interest loans. This allows for the communities to remain viable while still charging lower rents than “market rate” communities. Wendover Housing Partners prides itself on building high quality communities and through exceptional management, maintains these communities in pristine condition. All residents must meet stringent criteria regarding income minimum and maximums as well as background and credit scanning. Rents are determined as a percentage of median household income and are determined by HUD.
